As Founder and CEO of Merqato, Jan-Willem leads the company’s vision, growth strategy, and day-to-day operations. He comes from a long line of growers, giving him a deep, personal understanding of the fresh-produce industry. Combined with his commercial leadership experience at Philips and Oracle, and a background as a fintech founder, Jan-Willem brings both strategic insight and industry heritage to Merqato. He is focused on scaling the company’s impact in fresh-produce forecasting and securing the resources to drive innovation across the sector.
